Established in 2006, the group was formed to improve communication, networking, coordination and sharing of resources and ideas between the stakeholders who provide services within the shire.
Hot topics regularly discussed include disability access and inclusion, youth, health, education, community safety, leavers, active ageing, funding, volunteering, training and other development opportunities.
Shire President, Ray Colyer said the CNG would continue to focus on fostering networking opportunities and strong community partnerships in order to address local and relevant community matters.
“The CNG brings together a diverse cross section of the local community, with each person bringing different skills, backgrounds and extensive community networks to the table.” Mr Colyer said.
“It’s also a great forum to discuss ideas and seek input from like minded people and to find out what is going on in the community.”
