  • 'Friendly Fire' community art project

    18 February 2012

    Commencing 6pm at Rifle Butts Park Prevelly. 

    Bring your favourite scorched tea pot, melted bike or buckled trophy on Saturday 18 February to Rifle butts Park and give it a burial.

    The opening night gatehring kicks off at 6pm and people are encouraged to bring a picnic as well as their art, poems and stories.

  • Taking the Mystery out of Technology with ABC Open

    The Shire of Augusta Margaret River and ABC Open are conducting workshops to take the mystery out of digital technology.

    These workshops will walk you through the ABC's digital services such as iView and answer any questions you have about both the ABC's and other digital services, like social networks or photo sharing,

    So, if you would like to know more about how to share a photo with ABC News, catch up with your favourite programs on iView, ask Tony Jones a question on Q&A or just learn more about how to store and organise your digital photos, then come along and let ABC Open Producers answer your questions, and help you navigate your way through all the new services the ABC has to offer.

  • Community Networking Group

    Shire Offices, 41 Wallcliffe Road, Margaret River

    The Shire of Augusta Margaret River is re-launching the Community Network Group (CNG), previously known as the Community Network Committee, inviting all human service, not for profit, community based organisations and interested community members to attend the next meeting scheduled 10am Wednesday, 29 February 2012.

    Established in 2006, the group was formed to improve communication, networking, coordination and sharing of resources and ideas between the stakeholders who provide services within the shire.

    Hot topics regularly discussed include disability access and inclusion, youth, health, education, community safety, leavers, active ageing, funding, volunteering, training and other development opportunities.

    The CNG is open to not-for-profit service providers, Government representatives (Local, State and Federal) community groups, individuals and organisation concerned with human or community service provision in the Shire of Augusta-Margaret River (including education and voluntary organisations).

    The next meeting of the Community Network Group will be held at the Shire offices on Wednesday 29 February 2012, commencing at 10 am.

    This is a re-launch of the group previously known as the Community Network Committee and not for profit, community based organisation and interested community members are invited to attend.
